Bronwen Christianos is a creative entrepreneur with over 40 years experience in the creative industries. She conceptualized Green Fire Islands over 20 years ago while following the renaissance of traditional Irish and Maori music. Bronwen has led a life with experience in a number of diverse fields, with her positioning of choice being firmly behind the scenes.
Among other achievements, Bronwen is an accomplished author with several books to her name, a mother of 8 children and the driving force behind Whiti Te Ra Hou Trust - set up to encourage a new approach to dealing with New Zealand's serious social problems.
Although Bronwen is in her 60's she has an ageless aura about her and energy that is capable of achieving amazing things.

Alun Bollinger | Filming Director

Alun Bollinger is one of New Zealand’s leading cinematographers with credits including Peter Jackson’s Heavenly Creatures, Vincent Ward’s Vigil and River Queen and Geoff Murphy’s Goodbye Pork Pie. He was camera operator for Jane Campion’s The Piano and scenic cinematographer for The Lord of the Ring Trilogy. He was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours, 2005.
A documentary released in 2008, Barefoot Cinema: The Art and Life of Cinematographer Alun Bollinger, turns the camera 180 degrees and looks at AlBol's work and life.

Rachel is a communications professional with a creative background and understands the true worth of networking with like-minded individuals to achieve remarkable results.
Rachel has a wide skill set and has managed many projects and events. Her background of project management has given her the ability to get things running smoothly with minimal budgets.
Rachel's experience and passion for the communication industry enables her to connect with a variety of people from different backgrounds and develop meaningful relationships. She is also currently Communications Manager for SODA Inc - a business growth Centre in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Rachel has a wide skill set and has managed many projects and events. Her background of project management has given her the ability to get things running smoothly with minimal budgets.

Kathrin Simon | Photographer

Kathrin is a photographer with a strong focus on portraiture, the performing arts and documentary work. She has captured major art and music collaborations and the creation of art by various New Zealand artists. Kathrin works on several self-directed projects inspired by New Zealand’s cultural diversity and art world.
She is three times honorable mention recipient in the International Photography Awards competition (IPA) in Los Angeles. In 2008 for her work ‘TAONGA PUORO’ captured during Green Fire Islands. In 2011 for ‘BODY & SOUL’ a series of dance photographs captured as part of her ongoing documentation of NZ dance and for ‘MIN’, an artist portrait.
Kathrin is responsible for the collection of stunning photographs captured during the first Green Fire Islands tour in 2008. Kathrin also spent many hours editing the Green Fire Islands Trailer which has been crucial for securing shows on the international stage.
