Horomono Horo

Picture
Horomona is an accomplished player of Taonga Puoro, who has worked and studied with Hirini, Richard and Brian. After winning the inaugural Taonga Puoro Concerto in 2001, Horomona has spent the last six years participating in workshops and performance around NZ and abroad. From performing the opening dance for the Riverside Casino in Hamilton, to performing with the Weimarer Staatskapelle Orchestra in Germany, Horomona is a young man rooted in his culture but with a global vision. He is a practitioner of taonga puoro, a teacher in an Immersion Maori School (Kura Kaupapa Maori) and a youth co-ordinator.
